Road Trips Out West
Spring Break 2025
This gallery captures the first of two spring break road trips out west in 2025, traveling from Indiana with friends Sydnee and Vivian in search of adventure and wide-open landscapes. The route took us through a series of unforgettable stops, including the Gateway Arch, Garden of the Gods, Monument Valley, and Four Corners Monument.
The journey also carried us through the vast terrain of Death Valley, a hike along the Colorado River with natural hot springs, and ultimately to the Grand Canyon. From long drives to trail stops and shared moments along the way, this trip became exactly what it set out to be as a once-in-a-lifetime stretch of road, landscape, and memory.
Spring Break 2026
This gallery captures the second of two spring break road trips out west in 2026, traveling from Indiana with Dazah and Anna in search of hiking, views, and open road adventure. The trip started with an unexpected setback with two flat tires within 12 hours in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico, which forced us to adjust our route and shift our plans along the way.
Even with a changed itinerary, the journey still led us to some of the most memorable places of the trip, including hikes through Sedona, Zion National Park, and the Grand Canyon, along with a remote slot canyon hidden off the beaten path. Along the way we saw an incredible amount of wildlife and scenery, especially in Zion, which quickly became a favorite for its views and sense of life throughout the landscape. Despite the setbacks, the trip became something even more meaningful than planned.
